In the historic district of St. Nicholas, in Mondragone, is located the Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Caramel. For a number of documents shows that the chapel was built in the second half of the eighteenth century and with it the Brotherhood, an association of the faithful who were born where religious organizations to express devotion to a saint or the Mother of God and was dedicated to helping charities and charitable. The Chapel has a rectangular plan with a crypt below, to which access has been walled up after the restoration and features a mezzanine that leads to a 'single nave with a barrel vault and the choir of the eighteenth century.
Above the altar there is a niche which houses the statue of the Madonna and the walls are still visible plaques in memory of the dead who were buried in churches or in the crypts before the Napoleonic Edict, with the Cemeteries all'inumazione which were destined for the dead. Renovations were carried out during the reign of Monsignor A. Jockeys who also worked on the conservation of sacred vessels, including a mantle of Mary, a banner, a banner of his congregation.
